RESOLUTION NO. 8601
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECfOR TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY OF SAN JOSE FOR
TESTING AND INSPECTION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of materials testing and
construction inspection services in conjunction with construction projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell does not have the capability in-house to perform
this testing; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jose Public Works Department has a qualified materials
testing lab with the capability of performing all tests necessary, and a qualified inspection
staff; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jose's rates are lower and responsiveness is comparable
or better than other testing labs and construction inspection consultants.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute agreements with the City of San
Jose for testing and inspection services.
