A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING CONCLUSION OF THE IMPASSE PROCEDURE
AND APPROVING AN UNPAID FURLOUGH PROGRAM FOR
CLASSIFIED NON-MANAGEMENT EMPWYEES REPRESENTED BY
MILLMEN AND INDUSTRIAL CARPENTERS
WHEREAS, representatives of the City Council of the City of Campbell and representatives of Millmen
and Industrial Carpenters met and conferred on wages, employee benefits and other terms and conditions of
employment between May 10, 1993 and September 8, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the meet and confer process reached impasse regarding the issue of thirty-two hours of
unpaid furlough for employees represented by Millmen and Industrial Carpenters; and
WHEREAS, Resolution number 6647, adopted by the City Council of the City of Campbell sets forth an
impasse procedure to be followed if the meet and confer process has reached impasse; and
WHEREAS, representatives of the City Council of the City of Campbell and representatives of Millmen
and Industrial Carpenters have implemented the impasse procedure set forth in Resolution number 6647; and
WHEREAS, the impasse procedure set forth in Resolution number 6647 was not successful in resolving
the disputed issue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has reviewed and considered the issue at impasse.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell has hereby
resolved the submitted impasse issue in favor of the final proposal submitted by City staff relative to the
furlough program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does approve and adopt
thirty-two hours of unpaid furlough between July 1, 1993 and June 30, 1994 for each employee represented
by Millmen and Industrial Carpenters.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1993 by the following roll call vote.
