RESOLUTION 8432
BEING A RESOLUTION STATING THE INTENT
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL TO BE
INCLUDED WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE
SANTA CLARA COUNTY OPEN SPACE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority Act, Public Resources
Code sections 35100 et seq, creates the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority as of
February 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, said act provides that each city within the maximum jurisdictional
boundaries of the Authority shall pass a resolution stating its intent to be included within
the Authority's jurisdiction by January 15, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Act further provides that the timely failure to pass such a resolution,
or formal statement of Its intent not to participate, shall exclude such city from inclusion
within the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority; and
WHEREAS, this Council finds that inclusion within the jurisdiction of said Authority
is in the public interest of the residents of Campbell;
IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell, California that the
City of Campbell intends to be included within the jurisdiction of the Santa Clara County
Open Space Authority as provided for in Senate Bill 2027.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly executed copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara, and in no event later
than January 15, 1993.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Campbell this 5th day of January, 1993, by the following vote:
