RESOLUTION
8427
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL IN SUPPORT OF LEGISLATION
TO ELIMINATE UNFUNDED FEDERAL MANDATES.
WHEREAS, unfunded Federal mandates have increased in recent years; and
WHEREAS, such mandates create additional fiscal demands for very limited
resources; and
WHEREAS, such mandates have proven to be an excessive burden for the City
of Camp bell; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Mandate Relief Act of 1993 has been proposed by
Congressman Gary A. Condit, to assure that the Federal Government pays direct
costs incurred by local and state governments in complying with Federal mandates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby endorses the Federal Mandate Relief Act of 1993.
