RESOLUTION NO. 8423
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL COMMENDING MICHAEL F. KOTOWSKI
FOR NINE YEARS OF SERVICE ON THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Michael F. Kotowski was elected to the Campbell City Council in
1983 and again in 1988; and
WHEREAS, during his two Council terms, Michael F. Kotowski served as Mayor
in 1985 and again in 1990; and
WHEREAS, Michael F. Kotowski served on the Campbell Planning Commission
from 1980 to 1983, serving as Chairman in 1983; and
WHEREAS, Michael F. Kotowski has fulfilled numerous committee assignments
during his tenure on the City Council including representing Campbell on the
Measure A Traffic Authority, Joint Policy Board - Highway 17 Vasona Corridor
Study, Santa Clara County Transportation Commission, West Valley Mayors and
Managers, Highway 85 Task Force Committee, and the Emergency Services
Coordinating Council; and
WHEREAS, Michael F. Kotowski has been a member of the Campbell Chamber
of Commerce since October 1972, serving as Chamber President in 1979, and was the
first General Chairman for the Campbell Highlands Games and Campbell Prune
Festival; and
WHEREAS, Michael F. Kotowski was named Campbell Chamber of Commerce
"Citizen of the Year" in 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby commend and honor Michael F. Kotowski for his nine years of
service as a Campbell Councilmember and his many contributions to the Campbell
community.
