Reason for Request (Be Spec~f~c):
New Cal/OSHA standards require that Hepatitis-B inoculations (series of 3) be
offered to all employees who are"occupationally exposed to blood and other
potentially infectious material", at the employer's cost. This classification
includes all lifeguards, who are required to be certified in CPR & First Aid.
Funds are needed immediately to inoculate current staff and will be needed in
the future for all new hires. Transfer also includes funds to provide
"universal precautions" to all staff who might reasonably be expected to come
into contact with blood.
