A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL ADOPTING THE ICMA
RETIREMENT CORPORATION DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has offered its employees participation in the
ICMA deferred compensation program since 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell Deferred Compensation Plan document has not
recently been updated; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to assure that its Plan document is in compliance
with Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code; and
WHEREAS, the ICMA RC Plan document has been revised to incorporate all the
changes required under the Tax Reform Act of 1986 and the Technical and
Miscellaneous Reconciliation Act of 1988 (TAMRA); and
WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service issued a favorable private letter
ruling with regard to the ICMA RC Plan document.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby adopts the ICMA Retirement Corporation's Deferred Compensation
Plan (Appendix A attached) as an amendment and restatement of the City's plan
document.
