CC Resolution 8371 RESOLUTION NO. 8371 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC AGENCY FUNDS AND THE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FOR THE SAN TOMAS EXPRESSWAY/CAMDEN AVENUE PROJECT BETWEEN LOS GATOS CREEK AND BASCOM AVENUE WHEREAS, the city of Campbell has applied and been recommended for $292,000 in STP funding for the San Tomas Expressway/Camden Avenue interconnect project between Los Gatos Creek and Bascom Avenue, including installation of sidewalks, a pedestrian connection to Los Gatos Creek bicycle trail, addition of an intersection turn lane and a through lane, and interconnection of three (3) traffic signals in the 1993 Transportation Improvement Program adopted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and approved by the Federal Highway Administration ; and WHEREAS, a prerequisite for inclusion in the 1993 TIP is the adoption of a local resolution saying that: o The project will be built as described above; o $108,000 or 35% of total project costs, whichever is less, in local matching funds will be provided by the City of Campbell; and o The City of Campbell understands that the STP/CMAQ funding is fixed at $292,000, and therefore any cost increases can not be expected to be funded with STP/CMAQ funds. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell by adopting this resolution of intent does hereby state that: o o The project will be built as described above; $108,000 or 35% of total project costs, whichever is less, in local matching funds will be provided by the City of Campbell; and The City of Campbell understands that the STP/CMAQ funding is fixed at $292,000, and therefore any cost increases can not be expected to be funded with STP/ CMAQ funds. o ADOPTED held on BY the City Council of the City of Campbell at a meeting 9/1/92 by the following vote: Ayes: Noes: Absent: Councilmembers: Councilmembers: Councilmembers: Kotowski, Conant, Ashworth, Watson, Burr None None Att7!' j} ~ };t&t1~d- . :J I .
