RESOLUTION NO. 8370
A RESOLUTION OF INTENT WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC AGENCY
FUNDS AND THE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FOR THE
BASCOM AVENUE PROJECT BETWEEN HAMILTON AVENUE AND
SHADY DALE AVENUE
WHEREAS, the city of Campbell has applied and been recommended
for $610,000 in STP funding for the, Bascom Avenue signal
interconnect project between Hamilton Avenue and Shady Dale
Avenue, including installation of median islands, pavement
overlay with bicycle guidance lines, two new traffic signals and
a signal interconnect system for five traffic signals in the
1993 Transportation Improvement Program adopted by the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission and approved by the
Federal Highway Administration; and
WHEREAS, a prerequisite for inclusion in the 1993 TIP is the
adoption of a local resolution saying that:
o The project will be built as described above;
o $152,000 or 20% of the total project costs, whichever is
less, in local matching funds will be provided by the
City of Campbell; and
o The City of Campbell understands that the STP/CMAQ
funding is fixed at $610,000, and therefore any cost
increases can not be expected to be funded with STP/
CMAQ funds.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the city Council of the City
of Campbell by adopting this resolution of intent does hereby
state that:
o The project will be built as described above;

City of Campbell; and
o The City of Campbell understands that the STP/CMAQ
