RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL COMMENDING

Campbell from 1979-1985, and was instrumental in the planning and
construction of the Fire Department Headquarters; and
WHEREAS, James F. McMullen was appointed California State Fire
Marshal on July 1, 1985 by Governor George Deukmejian; and
WHEREAS, James F. McMullen is the Chairman of the State Board
of Fire Services, member of the Governor's Special Arson Task Force,
NFPA's "Learn-Not-to-Burn" Technical Advisory Council and President
of the National Association of State Fire Marshals; and
WHEREAS, James F. McMullen holds a lifetime teaching credential
and has taught fire science, management, and emergency services for
numerous institutions and organizations;
