BEING A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL, COUNTY
OF SANTA CLARA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
VACATING A PORTION OF CENTRAL AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, pursuant to the
provisions of The Public Streets, Highways, and Service
Easements Vacation Law, did heretofore, on the 21st day of
January, 1992 pass upon and adopt its Resolution of
Intention to vacate a certain portion of a Public Street,
being Resolution No. 8226; and
WHEREAS, the hour of 7:30 p.m. of this 18th day of
February, 1992 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 70
North First Street, Campbell, California are the time and
place set for hearing all persons interested in or having
objections to said proposed vacation: and
NOW THEREFORE, The City Council of said City of
Campbell finds and determines from the evidence submitted
that the portion of Central Avenue, a public street in the
City of Campbell, hereinafter described, be, and it is
hereby, vacated, abandoned and closed to public use as a
street, reserving a public utility easement as described in
that certain Grant of Easement recorded in Book L346 of
Santa Clara County Official Records at page 2022, and that
the portion so vacated is described on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

All that certain real property situate in the city of Caltp:>ell,
COunty of Santa Clara, State of Califomia described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest co:rner of LDt 8 as shown on that certain
map of the SWope Tract a copy of which map was filed on July 1, 1891
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, in Book E
of Map:; at page 106, said co:rner being also a point on the easterly
line of Central Avenue ( 50 feet wide ) as shown on that Record of
SUrvey filed in Book 461 of Santa Clara County Map:; at page 54 ;
'!hence North 89049'53" West, perpendicular to said easterly line of
Central Avenue a distance of 50.00 feet, ItDr or less to a point on
the westerly line of said Central Avenue;
'!hence North 0010'07" East, along said westerly line of Central
Avenue a distance of 152.50 feet, ItDre or less to the intersection
with the southerly line of Grant street as shown on said Record of
SUrvey;
'!hence SOUth 89049'53" East along the easterly prolongation of said
southerly line of Grant street a distance of 50.00 feet to the
intersection with said easterly line of Central Avenue;
'!hence South 0010'07" West, along said easterly line of Central
Avenue a distance of 152.50 feet to the Point of Beginning:
COntaining an area of 0 .1750 acres, ItDre or less.
Reserving therefrom an easement for the installation and maintenance
of plblic utilities, including, hIt not limited to, underground
power, communication, and television facilities within a strip of
land of the unifonn width of ten feet, the centerline of which is
described as follows:

granted to the City of CanPJell by deed recorded January 23, 1969 in
:Book 8411 of Santa Clara County Official Records at page 32, said
point being 61.25 feet, nore or less, westerly of the intersection of
said northerly line with the centerline of Central Avenue as said
avenue is shown on the "Map of the M:>ulton Tract at CanPJell", filed
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara on
February 25, 1892 in :Book E of Map:; at page 133, said point being at
a Pacific Gas and Electric Company junction box;
'!hence South 00010'07" West, parallel with said centerline of Central
Avenue, a distance of 140 feet nore or less;
'!hence South 40041'58" East, 120 feet nore or less to an existing
Pacific Gas and Electric Company junction box on the easterly side of
said Central Avenue;
Extending and shortening the sidelines of said easement to tenninate
at the junction boxes;
COntaining an area of 2600 square feet, nore or less.
