RESOLUTION NO. 8191
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL CHANGING CITY STANDARDS FOR STREET
LIGHT POLES FROM PAINTED, STEEL POLES TO
UNPAINTED, GALVANIZED STEEL POLES
WHEREAS, the Campbell Municipal Code provides that the
City Council may adopt street improvement standards for
public streets in Campbell; and,
WHEREAS, the City owns and maintains street lighting
facilities in the City; and,
WHEREAS, City staff has analyzed alternative street light
standards, including galvanized poles and provided a report
thereof to the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the staff analysis demonstrates that galvanized
steel poles are the most cost effective alternative for use
in Campbell.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
approves change of the City standard street light pole from
painted steel to galvanized steel.
