RESOLUTION NO. 8180
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
RECOGNIZING TAIWAN ON ITS
80TH NATIONAL DAY OF THE REPUBLIC
WHEREAS, THE
called the DOUBLE
October 6, 1991; and
80th National Day of the Republic of China,
TENTH National Day, will be celebrated on Sunday,
WHEREAS, this National Day is a celebration of independence
which was long sought and steadfastly fought for by countless Chinese
patriots; and
WHEREAS, today, the State of California is blessed with a rich
Chinese heritage that strengthens its communities and provides
cultural enrichment to countless citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Keelung is the sister city to the City of
Campbell; and
WHEREAS, both the City of Keelung and the City of Campbell
exchange gifts and cultural exhibits; and
WHEREAS, both cities have exchanged visits by members of their
respective governments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Campbell honors and congratulates the people
of the Republic of China on the anniversary of their 80th National
Day.
