BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO HOLD SANTA CLARA COUNTY HARMLESS REGARDING THE
RELEASE OF CONFIDENTIAL MENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara Bureau of Mental Health
Services and the Police Department of the City of Campbell have
established policies and procedures for the release of confidential
mental health information for the purpose of defusing hostage,
barricade, suicide, or other serious crises situations;
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara has requested a Hold
Harmless Agreement from the City of Campbell covering the acts and
omissions of the Police Department in connection with the
above-mentioned procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Campbell
authorize the Police Chief to enter into a Hold Harmless Agreement to
establish procedures for exchange of information between the City and
Santa Clara County.
