CC Resolution 7997 1ESOLUTION Di0. 7gg7 BEING A RESOLUTION APPROVSNG SPECIFICATIONS FOR SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS FOR THE CAMPBELL FIRE DEPARTMENT AND CALLING FOR BIDS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has been presented with specifications for self-contained breathing apparatus, and WHEREAS, the specifications provide for thirty-two {32} self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA's) for operations in hazardous atmospheres, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the specifications for the proposed self-contained breathing apparatus be, and they are hereby adopted and approved, and that the Fire Chief be authorized and directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals for said equipment and present the selected vendor's price quote to the City Council for its approval to purchase. Ashworth, Mayor NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that individually sealed proposals will be receied by the City Clerk of the City of Campbell as specified below at which time and place such proposals will be publicly opened and declared for purchase. BID No. 90-01 Positive Pressure Self-Contained 4.5 Breathing Apparatus DATE OF BID OPENING: October 12, 1990 TIME: 3:00 p.m. LOCATION: Ralph Doetsch Conference Room, Campbell City Hall, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, CA 95008 Specifications for the above items have been approved by the City Council of the City of Campbell and are on file in the office of the Assistant to the City Manager of the City of Campbell, to which bidders are particularly referred. All bids or proposals must be made on forms furnished by the City Clerk. All bids shall include taxes and all costs to be paid by the City, and the City shall not be obligated to pay any more than the bid submitted. All proposals or bids must be accompanied by bid bond, certified or cashier's check by some responsible bank or banker of the State of California, payable to the City of Campbell in the amount specified in. the "General Requirements" of said bid specifications- The above-mentioned check shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded to him/her and will be retained by the City of Campbell as agreed and liquidate damages should the bidder, whose bid is finally accepted, fail to deliver the item bid upon within the time for delivery as set forth in the specifications hereinabove referred to.
