BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO
AWARD A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE
CAMPBELL HISTORICAL MUSEUM, PHASE I CONSTRUCTION, PROJECT
89-10, OR TO REJECT ALL BIDS, AND APPROVING A BUDGET
ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared for the Campbell
Historical Museum Phase I construction; and
WHEREAS, the City has called for bids in accord with all state and local
procedures; and
WHEREAS, the City has received sealed bids from contractors; and
WHEREAS, additional time is needed to review the bids; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will not meet again until September 4, 1990;
however, it is imperative to award the contract as soon as possible in order to
complete the move of the Ainsley House prior to the rainy season;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell, California, that the Interim City Manager is hereby authorized to
award the contract for the Campbell Historical Museum, Phase I construction to
the lowest responsible bidder as determined by said Interim City Manager, or to
reject all bids.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes a
contingency in the amount of 20% of the bid price to cover unforeseen
circumstances and change orders, and approves the attached budget adjustment.
